In previous years (long, long
ago) the club used to give out an award from time to time to the
captain or crew that screwed up or pull a good one now and then.
Some members (who obviously
have candidates in mind) have asked what happened to the tradition.
Our answer of course, is we never heard of it and who was the last
person to receive the "Travelling Trophy" (affectionate
call the Booby Prize)
Most of the people we've
talked to, can't remember the award or who got it last. So we're
asking you to check you homes, garages and boats to see if you can
locate the Booby Prize and rekindle the tradition. As you
can see, it looks like a small brass colored metal boat, about a foot
and half long with five port holes on the side jammed up against a
couple of rocks mounted on a polished board with rope trim.
A free MCC Tote bag for the
person who turns it in, and amnesty to the person who may have sold
it in a garage sale. Although Uschi & Bob Seyler are shown
holding it, Uschi assures me that they were not the last ones to have it.
